Jaker Ali Anik smashed a blistering, career-best unbeaten 72 off 41 balls as Bangladesh claimed their first-ever T20 International series sweep over the West Indies with an emphatic 80-run victory in the third and final match at Arnos Vale in Kingstown, St. Vincent.

Jaker’s explosive knock, featuring three boundaries and six towering sixes, propelled Bangladesh to a commanding total of 189-7 after a shaky start. His aggressive batting ensured the visitors recovered from 102-4 in the 13th over, surpassing expectations to post a challenging target.

West Indies faltered in their chase, collapsing for 109 in 16.4 overs, as Bangladesh’s bowlers delivered a clinical performance. Leg-spinner Rishad Hossain starred with 3-21, while pacers Taskin Ahmed and Tanzim Hasan Sakib shared key breakthroughs.

Earlier, opener Parvez Hossain Emon set the tone with a quick-fire 39 off 21 balls, and contributions from Mehidy Hasan Miraz (29 off 23) helped stabilize the innings before Jaker’s late fireworks took center stage.

The victory marked a historic achievement for Bangladesh, following a 1-1 draw in the preceding Test series and a disappointing 3-0 loss in the ODI series. Bangladesh had previously won the first T20I by seven runs and sealed the series with a 27-run win in the second game.

This T20I triumph is a statement win for Bangladesh against a traditionally strong West Indies side in the shortest format of the game.
