Grace Fu Hai Yien, Singapore’s Minister for Sustainability and Environment and Trade, has expressed that many Singaporean companies are highly interested in investing in Bangladesh.
She made this statement during a meeting with Lutfey Siddiqi, Bangladesh’s Special Envoy for International Affairs, at her office in Singapore on Wednesday.
“Despite the recent political changes, we remain confident in Bangladesh’s long-term potential,” Fu said in a post on her verified Facebook page.
She added, “Many Singaporean companies are either operating in Bangladesh or are interested in investing, particularly in sectors like infrastructure and logistics.”
Fu assured that the Singaporean government will continue to support businesses seeking to invest in Bangladesh.
“I look forward to strengthening our economic ties and exploring ways to foster closer connections between our people,” she stated.
Bangladesh and Singapore enjoy warm, longstanding bilateral relations, which have developed over 50 years of diplomatic ties since 1972.
