The Ministry of Public Administration has issued directives to relevant ministries, departments, and organizations to take immediate action to recruit candidates for 4,75,001 vacant government positions.
In a letter sent on Monday (December 2), the ministry provided detailed instructions to the authorities concerned regarding the recruitment process.
According to the Government Employee Statistics 2023, the approved number of vacant positions in government service stands at 4,75,001. To address a portion of this, the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) has already announced the 47th BCS circular to fill 3,688 vacancies.
The BPSC is also working on appointing a limited number of first-class non-cadre and second-class officers. However, the responsibility for filling the majority of vacant posts rests with individual ministries, departments, and associated organizations, corporations, or companies.
The letter has directed authorities to submit detailed reports on their current recruitment activities within 15 working days.
