Captain Nazmul Huda Faysal showcased a stellar performance with a four-goal contribution, including a hat-trick, as the Bangladesh U-17 national football team achieved their second consecutive win, defeating Macau 7-0 in the AFC Asian Cup 2025 Qualifiers. The match took place today (Friday) at Prince Stadium in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Faysal scored in the 40th, 74th, 81st, and 84th minutes, delivering a standout performance, while Md Manik and Md Rifat Kazi added to the scoreboard with goals in the 65th and 71st minutes, respectively. A mishap by Macau’s Tang Tin led to an own goal in the 73rd minute, further sealing the one-sided victory.

The decisive win keeps Bangladesh in contention for a runners-up spot in Group B, where they have six points from three matches. The ten group champions and the top five runners-up from the qualifiers will advance to next year’s final round.

Bangladesh had a challenging start, losing 1-0 to hosts Cambodia in their opening game, but rebounded with a 1-0 win over the Philippines in their second match. They will play their final group match against Afghanistan on Sunday (October 27), aiming to secure a spot in the tournament’s next phase.
