Mufti Muhammad Abdul Malek Appointed as Khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque

The government has appointed renowned Islamic law expert and Hadith scholar Mufti Muhammad Abdul Malek as the new khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, according to a press release from the Ministry of Religious Affairs issued today. His appointment was officially approved by high-level government authorities yesterday (Thursday).

Mufti Abdul Malek is a distinguished Islamic scholar, holding advanced degrees in Islamic Studies, Hadith, and Fiqh from prestigious institutions both within Bangladesh and internationally. He is a student of globally respected Islamic scholar Mufti Justice Muhammad Taqi Usmani.

Additionally, Mufti Abdul Malek completed two years of advanced research in Hadith and Islamic law under the guidance of Sheikh Abdul Fattah Abu Ghuddah, a renowned Islamic scholar from the Arab world and a professor at Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University (IMSIU) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Throughout his career, Mufti Abdul Malek has traveled to countries including Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, India, and Turkey, presenting his scholarly work at national and international seminars. He is also the author of 16 books in Bangla, Arabic, English, and Urdu.

Moreover, Mufti Abdul Malek supervised the publication of a research journal titled the Monthly Al-Kawsar, which has gained significant recognition in Islamic academic circles.
