নির্বাচন কমিশন (ইসি) সোমবার থেকে সারা দেশে ভোটার তালিকা হালনাগাদ কার্যক্রম শুরু করেছে। পিআইডি’র এক বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে জানানো হয়েছে, যেসব বাংলাদেশি নাগরিক ১ জানুয়ারি ২০০৮ বা তার আগে জন্মগ্রহণ করেছেন, তারা নতুন ভোটার হিসেবে নিবন্ধনের যোগ্য হবেন। প্রাথমিক তথ্য সংগ্রহের পর আগামী ৫ ফেব্রুয়ারি থেকে ১১ এপ্রিল পর্যন্ত ভোটার নিবন্ধন কার্যক্রম চলবে।
