The Rangpur City Corporation (RpCC) today distributed Tk 20.86 lakh in grants among 149 Puja mandap authorities during a function held at the RpCC conference room in Rangpur.
The event, organized by RpCC, brought together leaders from the Rangpur city unit and 33 ward-level units of the Bangladesh Puja Udjapon Parishad (BPUP) as well as representatives from the 149 Puja mandaps in celebration of the upcoming Durga Puja festivities.
RpCC Secretary Joyoshree Rani Roy handed out cheques of Tk 14,000 to each of the 149 Puja mandap authorities to support the Sanaton community in celebrating Durga Puja, which begins tomorrow.
Also in attendance were RpCC Chief Property Officer Mousumi Afrida, Chief Accounts Officer Md. Habibur Rahman, Rangpur city BPUP General Secretary Advocate Prashant Kumar Roy, and Sanaton community leader Ramakrishna Somani, along with the Presidents and General Secretaries of the Puja mandaps.
In her address, Joyoshree Rani Roy extended warm greetings to the Sanaton community and wished them a joyful celebration of the five-day Durga Puja festival, both in the city and across the country.
